Weight and overall condition/rust

You can't have it all - space, luxury & payload - choose only 2 but even with ponies, you will still need over 1 tonne useful payload for fuel, water, feed/hay/tack/rugs etc. before you then add in people & animals.

Personally, I would opt for the shortest chassis you can live with & lose the nice to haves like a shower & loo as all the decent arenas like Hickstead, David Broome, Arena UK have decent facilities to begin with. That way you have more space and/or load to have what you really need.

Tilt cab really is a strong advantage - more so when it comes to sell the truck on.

I know of a friend's HyBarn conversion which is mega inside but only a 500kg payload. Clearly he is over the weight but it's a downplated 10 tonner so he doesn't care bangheadrolleyes

The iveco daily comes in 7.2 ton horsebox form, but probably isn't available in your budget as I think they're quite new. They're a lot nicer to drive the the eurocargo though.
