Converting a bus into a motorhome

Err. I know it probably sounds a daft question but...where the hell are you going to park it? All the camp sites I have been on (in the UK) it would A)be too large for the plot. B)may not even get to the site itself due to being on the back roads to nowhere.
Added: Is that an ex National Express coach going by the front logo.
A pertinent question, but I have no intention of ever taking it to a campsite. The plans I have are for it to be self sufficient - and its main use will be for me to live in during the week (with my dog) to save myself from four hours of commuting every day.Added: Is that an ex National Express coach going by the front logo.
Re the National express badge - it seems to be a later addition. It was owned by a firm called Black and White and then by Cheltenham and Gloucester, whose livery it still wears. I've seen photos of it in service, in that blue colour scheme, but without the badge.
Having said that, it is a Leyland Tiger with a Plaxton Paramount 3500 body which, I believe was used by National Express. Just not this one.
Going back in time somewhat, this little beaut' was on ebay recently, already converted and complete with its own wood burning stove and other creature comforts:

It needs a tidy up and refresh but this could be good!

I've just bought this nippy little runaround for the express purpose of converting into a motorhome:
That's from one of our local operators Charlton Services. That's actually new compared to what they normally run.I've just bought this nippy little runaround for the express purpose of converting into a motorhome:

Guys I race with have converted a double decker. Bike trasnport / workshop / kitchen downstairs, living accomodation upstairs. Great piece of kit, and apparently cheaper than bringing 3-4 vans, awnings etc. when they travel as a group...

Thanks Nickyboy. Turns out she was a National Express coach after all!
Nat EXS own few if any of their coaches, pre 9#1986 they were all owned by the 'local' National Bus Co subsidiaries and tasked by Mat EX, post 1986 any PCV operator could bid for the routes as long as they could afford to put suitable vehicles in Nat EX livery on the work enough of the time to meet the Nat Ex rules,If you're going to do it, then aim high. This was on C4's Amazing spaces and cost 60k to convert.

Keep me posted as I have just spend the last week looking into this, coaches are so cheap.
What are you doing regarding driving license and or re-registering it? Is that reason for going 30yo?

I'm an American currently living in Germany, traveling to England in 2 weeks to buy a double-decker and begin fulfilling my life-long dream of making my own motorhome. I've chosen a Leyland Olympian LWB with Alexander LH body, to fit German and American height restrictions. Sure, it will be a lot of work, but I think the results will be worth it. Once I've bought the bus I'll post pictures if there's any interest.
