The Outwell tents seem popular here, am I right in saying they are the better tents all round?
I am considering the Outwell Nevada M as seen here - http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/outwell-nevada-m-5-per...
But we are also considering the Vango EOS 550 XL as seen here - http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/vango-eos-550xl-p26160...
We had a bad camping experience last time but want to try again, I'm worried going with the cheaper Vango option, it will only put me off forever since last time, we got wet. It was a cheap big tent which was given to me by a family friend but it didn't stand up to the rain in the lake district which was really frustrating and made for a rotten weekend.
The way I see it at the moment, I would rather fork out more if it actually stays dry and is better quality all round. What are everyone's thoughts?

We had a couple of weeks in France, as the car has just 29bhp I didn't want it weighed down with too much clobber, so this is our little set up.
Vango Force Ten Classic Standard MK5 (I believe the phrase is "Old School" ) and a Coleman sun canopy, which is rubbish as a sun canopy but as it zips up at the front makes a great storage shed rather than cluttering up the tent.

Cant speak for those two directly, but my HiGear Xenobia 6 and porch is pictured on the previous page. We had some pretty strong winds and rain in our week in Scotland, and it was fine, but the noise in strong winds is a bit unnerving until you gain faith that it won't just blow away! I think a key part of the solution is decent pegs for the guy ropes and the tent itself. The ones supplied are a bit on the small side.I am considering the Outwell Nevada M as seen here - http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/outwell-nevada-m-5-per...

Parents picked up their new Swift Bolero 724FB at the weekend. They were going to go for the Bailey Autograph 745, but the end bathroom, superior payload, and stronger fit/finish swung it.
Shall grab some nicer pics later.
Now I need to get my 7.5 ton license (plated at 4250kg), and find someone to insure me! (I'm 22).

Nice one Ollie. Should I ever come up on the lottery for a nice little win, and fancy a motorhome to replace our Saab/Sterling outfit, I am stuffed, as since attaining the age of 70, my licence since then (3-yearly renewal) has the magic BE, but not the C entitlement. Is it a simple case, does anyone on here know, of taking a medical to get the C back?

I was talking to a chap at a camp site, who had just come back from a medical to get the c back.. He passed !Hi Pete, not sure if it's the PO or DVLA , the chap I spoke to said in the past his Doc had relived him of £140 but a HGV driver gave him a site that does these medicals at around £40 . Give it a google .
Good luck

Ok what goes in the back. Looks like a lift or ramp of some sort.
Yes it is a tail lift to a 'wet room', push bikes, kids motorbikes, boating stuff, etc all gets loaded in. Depending where we are going and who is coming I sometimes need a larger generator than normal so that goes in too.Gassing Station | Tents, Caravans & Motorhomes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
