Here's our tent

We wanted something with a larger living area as we only use it for when we go for weekend racing

My tent - a £100 Amazon special. Bought in January and soon taken to the Peak District to try out.

I've also got a little one for overnight stops.

Also got an in between one but can't find a photo.

And just for the novelty of posting a photo of a caravan on PH, I spent a few summers travelling through France in this with the parents. I slept in the awning or in the little tent above.

The OH and me bought a massive tunnel tent for our first purchase off ebay. A whole 27 quid!

It was brilliant fun, even though while up in Yorkshire we found our bedding woefully inadequate and nearly froze! The second year we came back to find the wind had snapped a pole and the site owners had lashed up an old fishing pole to fix it for us. It lasted the trip like it too!

Finally another year later it split while being up on the same camp site in heavy winds. We got back in the car and bought another tent. It lasted another 2-3 days before splitting again!

Amazingly there was a tent show in a field and we bought the tent we still own, it’s another tunnel tent this time made from polycotton. It takes 2 bags and is heavy like you would believe but it’s not let us down and has survived another few years of car shows and trips away.

It’s a Khyam Indiana, no pics here but it’s one of these:

(just noticed theres a review on that site by my OH smile)

We’ve got the awning now, which is the only issue with tunnel tents, in the rain the door always lets water in unless you stake it up. I used to sell motorhomes and was looking forward to the use of one but it never happened and my licence won’t allow me to tow anything big so the tent is the way forward for us.

We ahve enough gear to fill 2 cars now! Ive still got a 2 man popup tent that I've never had the chance to try out yet.
