Choosing a tent is quite dangerous isn't it. Im looking at tents that also have a separate small living area and I like them, But where do you stop, every tent you look at theres one just slightly better/bigger, Maybe I ought to buy a motorhome????????

A separate living area does sound good though, if only for somewhere to step into and take you boots off etc, before going into the sleeping area.

I Prefer to go with a small tent (2-3man) for storing my gear and sleeping in and then have a tarp, blanket and a few poles for an area to cook/eat/relax under, this is also easy to move around etc to allow for the weather conditions.

Own a Vaude and a Robens. Both excellent and have looked after 2 adults and a 5 year old wild camping in Snowdonia without any issues . some excellent deals around a few dealers will throw in footprints for the Vaude tent

The Cabin has a decent sized living area, in which you can stand up in. For more space internally you can unhook the bedroom and chuck it to the rear of the tent.

I'd say its not a 3 person tent, 2 is cosy, 1 is great.
