Any suggestion for nice campsites on the West Coast of France, down as far south as Biarittz. Could do pre set up tents or take our own.
Cheers

La pavilion royal is great, with direct beach access. A couple of miles or so from Biarritz.

I've heard The Île de Ré and Île d’Oléron are good - just not in August when Paris turns up there wink

The last week of August is much quieter on the Ile De Re, Noirmoutieres etc......and the prices are cheaper than the first 3 weeks of the month.

And they're well worth a visit.

2 years ago we stayed at Camping Palace nr Amelie Plage. It was good for a week with kids - we had a campervan at the time, and was part of a bigger trip. Huge campsite, decent pools, short walk to the beach, short bike ride to the nearby town.

Have a look at Eurocamp. None of their sites will be rubbish, they've been doing it for a long time and know how many beans make five.

Spent many happy holidays on Ile de Re and Ile de Oleron. Tranches sur Mer, St Jeans du Monts are also favourites with us. please excuse my poor spelling!!)

We never went further south than Bordeaux so cannot recommend further a field destinations.....

I have not been camping in France for many years so will not make any particular recommendations for campsites

Il de re is great spent a few holidays there. You do pay for the privilege though but if you're on a bike there's no need for the car.
St juan de Luz south of Biarritz is very good also. Sites all along the coast.
