Got the van washed and polished yesterday, looking good for the trip away!
Really counting down the days now.
We were away at the weekend so cleaned the insides (as we do after every trip) and I got some time just to clean up the panel joins outside which get discoloured over time; and clean off any black streaks. I'll give the MH a full outside fettle when we pick her up. I'll get her on the Thursday prior to leaving on the Saturday.Really counting down the days now.
As you say, not long now

Exactly 3 weeks from today 1630pm will be on Le Shuttle . drive until about 0130 , overnight on an Air , than by lunchtime , corner legs down , awning up , and cold beer, sitting by the Dordogne river , near La Roc Gageac
2 weeks today
Am I glad I got some Euros in a couple of weeks ago , dipped around 10 euro cents since I got them , €126 less spending ,if I was to buy today .will try to keep card spend to minium , Santander Zero card , no fees and interbank rate when calculating spend. so better than some

I bought mine prior to the vote as well so saved a few quid. Plus this year I have a Halifax Clarity CC as well to save on transaction fees and exchange rates rip offs
Me too - although I have a Nationwide Select CC that does the same thing (Visa instead of MC, but pretty much exactly the same at the moment at €1.19 to the pound). Not exactly exotic but we are having two weeks in the Lake District starting at the end of the month.
I am looking forward to it as we haven't had a two week holiday for ten years, and I love the Lake District. I know that the weather will be cold and wet, it always is, but at least in a caravan we are more protected than when in a tent.

Done our trip, 3 weeks from Roscoff>Biarittz>Nevers>Normandy. 14 oc in Brittany, same is B'Z then we thought OK lets rest up near Narbonne for a weeks sun. 3 days later.....F it, lets go, drizzle, cold. Nevers flooded, Orleans flooded, Paris flooded......so a few days near Omaha beach then back to find that the last 3 weeks in Cornwall we BZ........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
4 more sleeps then our 2016 adventure starts.
One week at Watergate Bay with a big group of friends in a mix of Vans, Motorhomes, Tents and even a cottage then two families hook up, get the ferry from Plymouth across to Roscof and a 4 hour drive to Carnac for the second week.
Bit of a shorter drive than last years trip to Lake Garda with the van and to be fair Im already missing that part of the adventure - I love a long trip.
Sun has started early, lets hope Cornwall keeps it for next week
