Caravanning 2016 - what are your plans?!
Discussion
Just had the weekend in Dorset too - spent a couple of nights in Lychett Minster on a great site with decent sized pitches and good facilities. Dog was properly worn out on a circular route round the site that finished up with a pub stop that we returned to in the evening for dinner, a bonus being a free bottle of wine with our meal thanks to campsite vouchers.
On the way home today we stopped off in Lyme Regis to let the dog have a runabout and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours people watching with a cup of tea and a sticky bun, plus the weekend weather was a great bonus too.
Need to give the motorhome a proper clean inside and out now, it's got its annual habitation service on Wednesday before its back in storage until the next trip out. Good weekend all told though.

We just had 4 nights at the C&CC site at Devizes/Melksham. Glorious weather: sat outside every afternoon; walks along the canal; BBQ; and the Mrs had a mivvi every day
Annual hab check/base service/nipple greasing a week Friday and then 3 nights in the New Forest and 3 at Cheddar.
Tidy

We frequently use the Denny Wood site but it`s a bit out in the sticks and has no EHU or toilet facilities.
There`s a site at Ashurst (Camping in the Forest) which is within walking distance of pubs (a couple of them are within 400 yards of the site) but again, although it has hard-standing pitches and toilets there`s no EHU.

We'd want the EHU though
Its just to give us options really in case the weather isn't good enough for a BBQ. The CC site has a chippy delivery on a Sat night and also a local Chinese does deliveries too apparently

Jammy git
Done only 2 weekends so far and only short trips but had great time on both.
Clumber was excellent as usual.
Great for cycling and my son (aged 9) always makes friends and just plays football all day.
Sutton-on-Sea over the recent BHW was very good also apart from the chilly weather.
I think the east coast was the only part of the UK where it wasn't sunny.
Didn't stop us cycling along the front, playing footy on the beach and eating fish and chips overlooking the sea.
Going to a weekend just outside Peterborough in July for a friends 40th. Both caravans and tents and lots of alchohol.
Also got 10 days in August at Woolacombe which I can't wait for.
Our 16 year old daughter announced it will her last trip with us :-)
Unreliable WiFi was the reason!

Spent last week in South Wales - only one morning of rain and a little drizzle on the day of pack up. Had a great time and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves - they even went paddling although the water felt far to cold for anything more than my big toe!!
Norfolk next and then possibly back to the New Forest before the end of the year.
Why is it though by the time you come home there are always a couple more little things you need to attend to before the next trip!
