As the thread title says there are 2 triple A batteries in a holder adjacent to the toilet waste container in my caravan. They are connected by 2 core cable to something, but I have no idea what! Anyone got any suggestions?

They are for the warning light when you toilet is getting too full (ie you need to empty it, but more than likely it comes on a little too late, so you should have emptied it one poo ago!)

It's the automatic speed toilet emptying device. Hold your car and caravan combo above 75mph for 30 seconds and the toilet cassette empties its contents without you having to worry about lugging 20kgs of crap to the toilet block. Highly effective against tailgaters.

Thanks for all your helpful comments! Will search for a light that indicates toilet is full!

IIRC it is on the top of the pump unit, mine hasn't worked for a couple of years, it is actually the low water level warning for the flush tank & has no connection to how full the cassette is, although I suppose in theory if you start with a full flush tank & an empty cassette by the time one is empty the other will be fullish!
