Sorry to be boring as this is the third awning related topic I have started.

I have decided that a porch awning would be useful for short stays, and have been looking at the Kampa rally 330 , the cheapest one at £265.00.
My local Kampa dealer has non in stock but can sell me a second hand Pro 330 for £275.00.

To me this seems expensive, I realise it would be £399 for a new one but I am always a hesitant about second hand gear, what do you reckon?

When you say short stays, what do you mean? 2 to 3 days? If so, I still think that kind of awning is too big really.

When we go away, we use a simple Sunncamp Scenic Plus porch awning. It's big enough that we can put a coat rail out there, a bin, all of our shoes, the kids bikes and a few plastic boxes of assorted 'stuff'. I paid £30 on eBay and it was like new. It's like this:

It all depends what you want to do with it - if you want to sit in it and eat dinner, then you'll need a bigger one obviously. We just use ours as a dry storage area for stuff we don't want inside.

We want something we can sit in to eat so we wanted a reasonable size but lighter weight and easier to assemble than the full awning.

I have ordered a new Rally 330 as the second hand Pro 330 was at least three years old and I didn't think it was cheap enough for one of that age.

You could do worse than something like this https://www.outdoortrail.co.uk/dorema-starcamp-mis... at 3m x 2.5m there is enough room for a table if you don't have too much other stuff out there and a door at each end gives you access options.....you can also zip out the whole front panel. I found a cheaper version of the same design but can't recall who made it off hand

Edited as I should have read your post properly then I would have seen you have already ordered!!

I have an older version of this and whilst it is really easy and quick to put up I do find I get ponding after rain. However unlike my full awning there are no poles that touch the van which is a plus point for me. I can usually have this up and pegged out by myself inside 20 minutes. Despite the ponding, I would not change it.
