When I had my 2013 van converted to camper they had a company add a Wesfalia detachable towbar with 7pin electrics.

I connected a Thule EuroClassic G6 929 towbar bike carrier using a thule 7pin to 13pin converter. Brake lights and indicators worked ok, but I noticed the reverse light did not come on (when van gear was in reverse)? As I have 7pin does it not have a reverse light connector, or is it the converter that is at fault?

7 pin sockets don't have a reverse light channel.

A "12N" 7 pin set up covers the lighting you would find on a trailer - Brakes, side/number plate & indicators.
You would need a "12S" second socket, usually for a caravan, to have a reverse light feed too.
