Just returned from a few days at the Canterbury C & CC site. Lovely site by the way.

However in the shower block there were notices saying "Safety Notice - Please mop the shower floor after use"

So why do they require mopping the floor? Is it so it dries? Is there bleach or something similar in the water the mop is in?

Do you mop the floor after a shower?

Not sure it's for safety, but I always thought it was courteous to next person to use the shower if you cleaned muddy floors / removed excess water from the cubicle with the mop provided smile

Yep. I agree

I do it whenever practicable. Sometimes I have to mop BEFORE using the shower as some scrote hasn't bothered and left excess water/mud/grass behind them frown

Its only courtesy really smile

Probably to cover themselves should someone slip on a wet floor!

I'm always barefoot when away in the van, so have quite dirty feet which leaves mucky prints in the shower. Couldn't bear to be the person following me in shower if I didn't clean the floor! Just common courtesy really - no one should need 'reminding'.
