I'm looking for a family friendly campsite in Normandy which has a pool and is near the beach.
Any recommendations?

I'm a big advocate of Les Castels campsites. Any of these tick the box?

We stayed here 2 months ago. camping La Roseraie d'Omaha.

http://www.camping-calvados-normandie.fr/

And was very nice, flat pitches, nice pool/bar/restaurant. Less than 5 mins off the main DC from Bayeaux.

It's fabulous and we are staying for a few days on our way back home from eastern France. They have nice musical evenings and other cultural activities.

Found the website: www.camping-lecolombicomer./en/7/the-swimming-pool...

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. Having left it until the last minute there wasn't much available for the dates we wanted. We have booked Camping Port'land near Port-en-Bessin and are going Dover-Calais as the Portsmouth and Poole ferries were bloody expensive.

The next question I have is where is the best place to park in Bayeux as I have only been there in a coach. I believe there is free parking available, if so, where?

Thanks in advance.

Massive carpark to the west of the Cathedral but its Paying..... Parking is free at the D-day museum and the town center is a 15 min walk.
