yellowing plastic's

I'm trying to sort something out myself regarding the front of my Hymer.
I've tried a compound my Uncle used to use on yachts and it brightened it but I fear Hymers have really rubbish lacquer on their fronts (my van's vintage anyway) so the only way to treat it is a respray. But I would imagine, providing gelcoat safe, something like Farecla yacht products are probably a good shout.

Had the same problem in various vans and never found a solution that does the job properly.
Have you considerd replacing the frame and refitting the panel in the new frame

Yes I did think just to replace the different vents and locker surrounds but on older vans ,locker surrounds are not easily come across so I have decided to use a plastic acid etch primer and spray them white again. I did some double glazing a few years ago with the acid etch primer and painted them in under coat and gloss as you would for wood and it was a fantastic product and a lasting result.
