Touring Sites for kids?
Discussion
Did Sandyballs with our two kids for October half term in 2014 and 15. Didn't go last year. Kids were nearly 6 and a bit over 2 the second time we went. We enjoyed it more the first time than the second as it seemed there was a bit less on for the kids second time round and they had done away with the market on the square that came in the first year which had sold local produce.
During October half term pool access was done on a timed basis with coloured wrist bands and the more popular activities get booked up quickly (seem to recall you can do them on line)
You need to pick your timing with the showers and in the older block at the bottom of the hill the traps block easily/regularly. Some of the play equipment in the play ground was also getting a little tired.
Its a nice site though and pretty well laid out with plenty to do in the area. If you like to watch TV make sure you have a very long aerial cable (I could only just get my 10m one to reach the post and my roof aerial picked up nothing) likewise mobile signal is limited although the bar etc have wifi. HTH

Sandy balls is a great spot - lots to do, nice pool, nice bar area, evening entertainment if you want and even the resturant is half decent.
Just make sure if its not sunny season you ask for a pitch that has hard standing to the road - some of them had a gap between the road and the hardstanding pitch itself, and at easter last year that grass turned into MUD because of the rain we had.
How far do you want to travel?

Thanks.
Will travel anywhere in U.K.

We have been to Merley Court and Lynton Lawn both Shorefield sites. They have the advantage from our point of view of having access to the facilities of larger parks nearby.
Stowford Farm Meadows in north Devon is nice although I am told we are going to Cornwall this year, not sure where though.
