Is campervan insurance separate from car insurance ?

As in if you have classic car insurance you don't seem to have to use your NCB on it. It's just dirt cheap at 150 quid or whatever.

Is it the same for campervans ?

I know they'll want to know your driving history,etc.....

In my experience caravan insurance does not carry a NCB entitlement, same as classic cars. Just let your car insurance know that you tow a caravan.
Caravan insurance for when it's on your drive or camp site.

My MH insurance don't count NCB/Years when they price it up. I don't know why but I price check them and they are always competitive.

I recently sold one of my cars and rather than lose the NCB they have added it to the MH policy to keep it 'live'. If/when I get another car I can then take it off the MH insurance without penalty and use it on the car

He was asking about campervans not caravans. My Campervan insurance does take NCB into account in exactly the same way as car insurance (Stavely Head) and it was the same for my previous insurer (Adrian Flux).

Just had my VW T2 campervan insurance renewal through, £94 for the year, fully comp, unlimited milage and Uk and Europe breakdown cover.

NCB isn't considered.

Oddly I always find when you phone up to change your car insurance and they ask you if you drive anything else if you mention the motorhome they are not interested and just say "any car". Is it due to their low mileage?
