The old 'when you got'ta go' question.
Discussion
Need to buy a new porta potti for my caravan and have identified the Thetford QUBE 165 or the 365 model. Really can't see any difference between the two other than price???
Also, I understand the chemical use side but not sure regarding the toilet tissue, has 'special'
tissue to be used or any regular tissue?.
I only use my caravan for weekends away at rallies and shows on a 'Billy no mates' basis so I don't need a huge waste holding tank. Thanks for any tips /advise.

We have had 10 years experience with "porta potties" in motorhomes and caravans. After a short time, we came to the conclusion that the "special" toilet paper was a waste of money and have used normal standard type toilet paper ever since with no "clogging" problems whatsoever. The attached link may be of interest.

Assuming we have all finished our breakfasts, hope it is no too early to flag up a tip to help minimise cleaning the bowl following a number 2 session. Strategically place two pieces of paper (each two sheets folded) in the bottom of the bowl and this should catch the majority of the t***s (aka solids) and make the flushing more "effective".
Cue amusing comments.

We have a 'no solids' rule on the motorhome toilet and just use the cheapest supermarket toilet tissue. We've also stopped using the blue liquid. Much prefer cheaper liquid clothes washing soap - biological, in both the toilet cassette and the grey water tank. Smells much nicer and won't stain if you get splashed during emptying

Not heard of this tip before, kills nasty bacteria ? liquids only. How much do you dump into the waste tank? My tank will be 21Lt.Thanks.
