Hoping to go camping with the missus, 3 year old girl and 7 month old labradoodle soon, any tips?

Planning on all just sleeping in big tent at the moment. What could go wrong!

That's pretty much it. We bought a corckscrew ground anchor so we could tie him up as most campsites require dogs to be on leads at all times.

Sounds fair to me. Most dogs are happy to sleep in the porch, they have a fur coat after all. A ground anchor is a good idea. Dogs love camping because they know where everyone is and they can station themselves in "dominate the stairs" position and make sure nothing happens without them knowing about it.

Corkscrew dog lead thing and a longish wire lead are essential. Water bowl that they can get to.

Perhaps if you have the room a dog bed that pooch can feel at home in.

Toys/chews and lots of walks and cuddles.

Dogs love camping!!!

We've taken our two several times, a ground screw as already mentioned & we crated ours (they're both used to it). Nicer to insulate the crate from the cold ground, a piece of roll mat or similar would do, we used to cover the top & 3 sides with a sheet to make them feel more secure & keep them a little warmer if the overnight temps dropped.

I found that a windbreak also helps to stop them barking at everything going past (If they are that way inclined) or every passing dog barking at them.
Poo bags and a collapsible water bowl/bottle for long walks.
