Thanks for the thoughts - much appreciated. I'm heading over to the West Coast of Scotland over the next few weeks so will try and have a chat with anyone I see with a single glazed van.

Definitely have a chat. But just bear in mind that there is a reason why panel van conversions are more popular vs. minibus. wink

Starting with a blank van, which is what my dad has done 3 times now, gives you much more flexibility on layout etc. In his last 2 they have had single glazing. They are cold and suffer form condensation. His latest on the Ducato chassis has double glazing, it certainly feels warmer. It could be all in the mind but certainly not waking up to the windows dripping in condensation is much better.

I'd have thought a panel van would be easier to find and cheaper than an old minibus.

I home converted a 2000 Citroen Relay 2•5D, reckon it was doing high 20's. I updated to a 2012 Renault Master, which is managing 33/34 mpg.
