1986 Fiat Ducato gear box oil

Hi there,,

So does anyone on here know where the stick is for measuring the amount of gearbox oil on a mk1 fiat Ducato 1986 please....I have no idea nor how to fill it? Grade of oil????

I've just had a look at our 93 2.5 TD and there doesn't appear to be a way of checking, If its getting difficult to put in gear I would recommend having a look at the gearbox mounts as they are prone to failing. When they are worn its really difficult to get in in gear. Cheap enough to replace too. Also whilst you are under there do the clutch cable too, The difference after replacing these parts is like night and day.

That defo sounds like a garage job to me, it's going in for mot at the end of the month so ul suggest they do both!!!!
