Out of interest how are you measuring your weight on the tow-ball? Sorry if this is a newbie question!
Two methods, either a length of 2x4 between the coupling and a set of bathroom scales on the floor, let the (nose)weight of the van rest on it and take a reading or you can get one of these: https://www.towsure.com/caravanning-equipment-and-...
Thanks!!!! Brilliant
I use the wood & bathroom scales approach...I know everyone says don’t bother with 4wd but it stopped me getting stuck on the grass next to the pitch last night unlike the neighbor in his mondeo cool

Currently typing from our warm van after a long walk with a sleeping dog and a pint of Guinness. drink Worst ways to spend the weekend ...

This is a good site for matching info. https://towcar.info/GB/

Great choice of van too. We’ve been really pleased with ours. (Albeit do struggle to get the nose weight down to 85kg)

Have been using my F Pace 2.0 2WD for the towing a similar size 6 berth van over the last year. Absolutely fine, no issues. I do advise, where possible, with all towing to put as much of the heavy gear as you can in the car (Awning, Poles, BBQs, etc).
