So in the TV version, Varys is now on his way back to Westeros presumably he will then do the thing he did at the end of the last book. After this pretty much all of the characters in the TV show have caught up or passed their book counterparts. If/when the next book doesn't come out before the next series starts, the TV version will be full of surprises for everyone wink

Not necessarily as Kevan has barely been present on the show and has a much reduced role in trying to preserve the alliance with the Tyrells.

More likely he is going to Dorne.

Shot Kevan Lannister with a crossbow because he was doing too good a job at running the kingdom. Varys wants chaos. In the book I think it's the first time we see Varys since Joffreys death.

Kev has barely been seen, but his role as in charge of the Lannister armies is still there, and as a firm Hand to the king.

In the book doesn't he appear out of the woodwork with all his 'little birds' around with him knives? I remember it being quite a chilling vision.

Balon's real murderer...more conspiracies...and I can see Dario actually being Euron or a thrall/ally of Euron's.
Corsair King!

Possibly the whole thing!!

I think he puts more effort into his theories than G.R.R.M. puts into his books.

My appreciation has sky-rocketed for Martin since watching Preston's vids.
It's all there, all the stuff. Martin encourages deductive reasoning. I am gonna reread the books for a third time this summer...with a new eye. biggrin

There is a good one on Ned and Ashara Dayne if you are looking through Preston's videos.

I only just watched it yesterday!!
I never reaLLY thought much about R+L=J, but I don't believe it now.
R+L=D makes more sense, from Ned's reactions.
It also ties in with something I read about Martin a short while back, at how either people don't know who's Jon's parents are or they got it wrong.

I love deductive reasoning, Columbo, the unreliable narrator method of GRR and how Martin is writing a history, not a story. There will be things that are never revealed, that's how histories work. So one can take away, whatever one wants to.
So when I reread, Ashara popping up, or SHira Seastar will be on my mind. biggrin
