Finished all current issues of The Walking Dead, and have bought the first book of Y: The Last Man.
I was led to it after flicking through the top 100 comic characters after watching Thor. (there was also a character from a GN aboot events after the twin towers falling down but can't recall the series).

Y: The Last Man has an interesting premise, and maybe one PHers would enjoy, all men have perished save for one, and the world is left to women...idea
Haven't read it yet, it arrived from Amazon yesterday.

Any other readers out there?

I've read the odd graphic novel here and there - Watchmen still being the standout if I'm honest!

Yeh I like V, it's an interesting read. The other main one that I really enjoyed is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. But that seems rather slim to V and Watchmen, all great stories though.
I like the idea of the Wold Newton family

I'm also a bit of a comic geek.

Y is a great read, the ending is fantastic, you’ll enjoy it. Theres apparently a film in the works too.

I'd recommend checking out Preacher, which is pretty much peerless.

The Boys is also worth a read, and has some truly insane moments.

Transmetropolitan is also fantastic, has a great story about future political corruption, and Spider Jerusalem is probably one of comics best creations. Patrick Stewart wrote a great introduction to one to the trades.

Hellblazer upon which Constantine was based is a pretty good read, anything by Dave McKean is awfully pretty to look at and I second the Watchman and V suggestions. Arkham Asylum is fabulous as is the first Books of Magic (which I lent to someone and never got back grumpy). The Dark Knight Returns is fantastic - an aging Batman comes out of retirement and kicks a certain superhero's butt! hehe

Try;

Batman - The Killing Joke.

Any of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing.

And if you really want to go nuts try Elektra Assasin. Totally insane.

Of the ones mentioned, I have Dark Knight Returns, it's what kicked me off on them decades ago. Had the Killing Joke when it came out, back when Batman started to become serious again.
I have heard those others are good.
I have a series called Lucifer, it's the Lucifer from Sandman...it is outstanding storytelling.

I too echo the people encouraging you to try Preacher. You know want to read a series with a character called Arseface!

Also, the No Man's Land series of Batman graphic novels is very good, shows what a dark side the Bat can develop when it all goes to Hell.

Don't google arse face images smile

Pracher was the first book of this type that I had read. Didn't really know what to expect I can still remember reading the previous page explaining what happened then turning over to teh full face picture. I didn;t know it was coming and completely pissed myself.

In fact I must go read them all again.

Well I have got Preacher on order now from Amazon.

Also I have read Y:The Last Man and I think it is rather good, second and third issue now on it's way also.

I got some good ideas for purchases here.

Preacher is in it, as is Rick Grimes and the lad from Y.

Last man on Earth, some women want to abduct and sell him, some want to imprison him, some want to cut his wanger off (bloody Amazons!)...what a life!

Not sure if the entire series of Invincible has been collected into graphic novel form yet

Just checked and all the issues are in 6 volumes of hardcovers. Really great dry superhero humor with a really great plot.

wold newton is proper geek territory.

moore is the pinnacle, read league of extraordinary gentlemen if you want something with a LOT of layering and references. very, very good. 1969 version is out imminently.
