The Dan Shepherd books by Stephen Leather. And some of his non-Shepherd books as well, to be fair. Though I've steered clear of his supernatural ones.

There's always (and it seems always will be) Spenser and Jesse Stone from Robert B Parker and friends

I like Donald Harstad and GM Ford too

Cannot get on with Grisham for some reason, might have to retry him to see what I didn't take to

Grisham is pretty poor IMHO tried a few and had enough now.

Yes, agree with Stuart Macbride but not about Grisham, I've enjoyed all of his so far.

Graham Hurely's Joe Faraday series are good as well.

Someone here recommended Stuart MacBride to me when I'd finished all the Reacher books.
I'm now on #7 of the Logan MacRae series.

Good news. I'm going through the series very quickly at the moment, just downloaded the next three to read lying on the beach on my holiday next week.

Did not know that Vince Flynn was dead. His books were good until he turned too much pro Westeran without any self criticism... Or may that was me being more enlightened. But in terms of action and reading that was just perfect.

Jack Reacher: got bored of it but quite entertaining. The movie is in fact much better than I thought.

Just finished Make Me, and for some reason I'm disappointed.
Was disappointed also, not one of the best.
Add me to this list as well, been a Reacher disciple since the launch of the first book but I'm starting to think they've lost their way a little.

I'm halfway through Make Me at the moment. I haven't picked it up for the last week or so, managing to find something else to read at night instead. Not sure if I'll get round to finishing it as I'm struggling to maintain any interest in the plot or the characters.

I've enjoyed these since I first picked up The Killing Floor but I'm sad to say it's time for Reacher to sit down someplace quiet

And shut up frown

I'd miss him, but to quote the late Mr Daniels "Not a lot"

Having read most of James Patterson's books and Kerry Wilkinson's I've found myself here.

So with an impeding holiday I've downloaded the first three Reacher books and will see how I get on.

Get paperback - if you spill a beer/kids splash in the pool you drop it it doesn't matter st all. Kindle/other reading software game over.
