Meh. I had fond memories of 1984 as a kid. Thanks to this thread I began rereading it - god it's depressing. Not even going to finish it now. frown

biggrin - I hear there's a Hollywood movie version in the making where Brad refuses to say "do it to Angelina", escapes, rescues her and they go and live on a paradise island with lots of stolen African children.
