Has anyone else read this? Any thoughts?

I finished it last night. It's the best book I've read in quite a long time, such a brilliant, and tragic story.

I read this a little while ago, and it really got me too. A great scifi story, a cautionary tale too - just how clever do we want ourselves to be? A little ignorance about the world and life is perhaps a blessing.

If you're much of a scifi reader, I recommend Hyperion by Dan Simmons. A long one, but lots of little stories within.

Not read either of the above, but I love Illium and Olmpos by Simmons.

we read this in school in English 20 odd years ago and I'm sure it stands the test of time.

there was a film too iirc not sure how good it was - might have had jeff daniels in it?

R.I.P. frown

I read this at school, years ago. It's stayed with me. I've been meaning to read it again.
