Any military poetry fans out there? I rather like 'The Private of the Buffs', and 'The burial of Sir John Moore at Corruna' as well as the more popular 'Charge of the Light Brigade'.

Any other similar recommendations?

I take it you have looked at Kipling.

You may also be familiar with The Pipes of Lucknow, JG Whittier, and there is a wealth of other Victorian work, not all of the quality of the Burial of Sir John Moore

Weep not my boys for those who fell
They did not flinch or fear
They fought and died like Englishmen
At bloody Abu Klea

There is a long poem published in WW2 called Who Dare To Live, but you won't find a copy that easily. Amazon?
