Book recommendations, learn something new

Bit of help please. Off on holiday for a week, huge amount of sitting around planned. Has anyone got any recommendations for some books please?

I'd quite like to learn something new, language, skill, computer stuff

Kindle would be best, please fire away with your sensible and silly ides.

Well, given that we know nothing about you, suggesting something "new" might be problematical - I could suggest "Rocketry for dummies" only to discover you design rocket engines for example.
