Anyone else behave like this when it comes to buying books?

My employers give me £1500 per annum to spend on books. My Amazon wish-list is growing by the day.

I'd post a pic of my waiting list but they're in 4 bookcases across 3 rooms... Still, after a while you get the "oh, I'd forgotten I had that, that looks interesting..." moment.
I've done that, go to put newly acquired book on shelf only to find I already have it.I had 3 copies of the Philadelphia project at one point.
I did wonder how many books you had, I guessed it was a few from the other thread.

I've done that "damn, already got it" thing too often - all my books are on LibraryThing now. And there's a free app for my android phone which just basically takes the file from that, so I have it for reference whn I'm shopping. Which works really well - until (as on Saturday) I bought 2 books I didn't think I had, only to find I do have them and hadn't added them to LT for some reason... I had 3 copies of the Philadelphia project at one point.

LT collection is just under 600 so far - but that's not all of the books yet; still got a lot of old Agatha Christie paperbacks and other things inherited from my Nan.
A new bookcase is on order.

I got 2,3,4 of the long earth Terry Pratchett series.
I got the first from the charity shop, then had to get the other ones.
Just finished the edge chronicles, the winter knights i will add the others to my list for finding.
Edit* just found that is book 5 of 10, it still worked stand alone, but perhaps reading from the 1st one would set the stage a little more.
