I have to confess, I'm a terrible hoarder. I've managed to fill three bookshelves over the last few years, and I reckon I've read a quarter of them if I'm lucky. So, I'm going to start in the top left corner of the first bookshelf, and work down to the bottom right corner of the third one, not missing a single book. It's going to be hard work at times as i've bought some stuff that I'll no doubt find hard going (Albert Camus anyone?) but I think it's the only way some of them will be read.

First up's Brett Easton Ellis and The Rules of Attraction - half way through and it's got me hooked! Much easier going than American Psycho, which I've got to admit I struggled with, so think I'll invest in Lunar Park as well at some point.

On the plus side, the next book's a Mustang history one so that shouldn't be too bad! Will report back as I go smile

Only 3 shelves? Amateur... hehe

Seriously though - sounds a good method to get through them but I have to be in the mood for a certain book so it wouldn't work for me. I've probably got well over a hundred in the "to be read" category. I rarely read fiction but biogs/diaries/military first hand accounts/footy/history, that's me. But sometimes I don't want to read a war account, I want a football biog. Then I might want an account of WW1 after that.

And my shelves are sorted in category order, so I could never wade through all my history books first, then all my biogs, etc.

Be interesting to see if you manage to keep it up for more than a couple of books!
