Did you do it online? If so, right now, I'm not sure if you get the chance to order the free Powerbuilt rachet, the T and the stickers etc. If that page is down, PM me with your details, or call me, 01780 758802, and I'll do it now.
We're contacting people who do it online, but seeing as you may still be about..
Hope you enjoy the sub, thanks.

Al, what`s the latest on the Rover ?
Charles is having a well deserved breather at the moment.
Yup, took a man of his ability less time than it takes me to erm, do something quite simple in a reasonably short time.

Sadly my student loan isn't good enough for that. I'd love to have one even if I just had it on a stand to run occasionally.
I think there is a guy who drags one around to Stationary Engine Do's
My chum and I have a 1600hp gas turbine (ex-Westland) which is looking like going in a boat. Quite a small pointy boat

Turbine powered boats are certainly fun. The engines are ideally suited to long periods of maximum power and they just sound awesome. Platinum Princess does 180 mph!
ETA 200 mph powered by two Apache engines!

Quick update about Charlie’s Rover. Charles managed to squeeze the very last lap of 2006 around the Nurburgring in his.. yup, Carlton Diesel. However, with Love Mass Lomas behind the wheel, the thing got the fright of its life.
Work on the Rover has been problematic (the project has been over 20 years in the making now). Regular followers will know that the manifold was causing huge problems, some cylinders were being starved. So Charlie took the engine out again. Inbetween replacing Dale Lomas’s kitchen and installing his own home made domestic central heating system (powered by Ford), he custom made another ECU and realised the entire design was wrong.
V12’s have separate manifolds as you know, so perhaps it wasn’t a total surprise..
Charlie’s plan may have been a bit of a damp squib, but it was a glorious attempt. All is not lost though. A new homemade plenum is being designed to nestle between 2 new custom made manifolds, and snuck in between the cleft of the 2 banks of cylinders. It’s very wrong I know, but at this point I’m having 25 year flashbacks to the Sgt WRAF who ran clothing stores at my first posting.
On to other matters, the Rolls is being turbo’d as we speak, and all progresses well there, but our minds have been elsewhere. During a pre ASI late night chinwag, we decided it’d be a really good idea to get onto Ebay and buy a red Mk1 Ford Transit fire engine (as you do). So we had a look, and lo and behold, there was one! Wow. It was in great order and with only 30,000 k’s on it. I mean, how could anyone resist this?

Viel Spaß beim Bieten
Did I say it was in Southern Germany? Anyway. So while the rest of us were at ASI, Will and Kev went to Germany to hand over £750, or whatever it is Europeans deal in nowadays and drive back in the most bizarre project we’ve had yet. Bargain. Ok, so lots of bits fell off on the way back, and at some point, the Polizei got involved for a depressingly extended length of time, but its now safe and sound in its new home. Not sure what colour it’ll be (satin black mebbe) and we’re not sure whether to put the new engine in the front or back (I did say we’d bought a 4.6 litre ‘stang V8 for it, didn’t I?), but its going to be a lot of fun.
Hopefully, it might race the Rover and the Rolls up the hill at Goodwood later this year. See you there maybe.
