Thanks. I've got footage of the Rolls and the Rover bimbling up the Goodwood Hill which I really must get sorted out.

Fantastic mag this month too guys!!!

Thanks. It was a tale of disaster mind. We had a Merc 190 Cossie crash on the way to a shoot, Ed crashed at Cadwell.. hell, everything crashed. I think the Lagonda is stunning though. I'm so glad we got an early one for the shoot, and not the later ones where all the wackiness was blended out. How outrageous are they?

Those Monaros are good value too.

Although I still involved with the automotive sector, I am no longer with PPC or publishing Ben, so I’m not taking the fall for this one (although I do still get the occasional call asking me where an errant subs copy is)! Here though, one for you that has never been seen.

If anyone is north of Stamford, Lincs this weekend and interested, Charlie is taking the car to the South Witham village fete, just off the A1.

Al, I need to talk to someone @ PPC about offering a free set of H beam rods like these for my Volvo you did a readers cars thing on.

I have been asked by the owner of R sport Internatonal to approach yu guys. We want to offer a free set of rods to a deserving case to promote these rods in the UK, but none of you guys are doing anything noteworthy apart from Charlie and Toby.

Wanna chat?

For the attention of Al Rush.
Can you tell me what connection you have with Charlie as we poped up to see Charlie about a year ago to see the Rover and engine for the first time, since seeing this thread I wondered how you know so much of whats going on, do you keep in touch with Charlie on a regular basis. I gather Charlie has inlet airflow probs is this due to the custom built inlet manifold? As I have a standard Meteor MkIII is there any measurements or help I can give ?

I spoke with Charlie earlier today funnily enough, to see if he wanted to go to the Duxford Airshow this weekend. If you'd like to PM me your contact details, I'd be glad to pass them on to him, I know he always appreciates advice or help. Sorry for the tardy response!

I'm not sure if anyone from the mag is still updating folk and I certainly wouldn't want to represent them. I didn't just come here to throw PPC spam about the place, I've loved cars since I was a lad and I admire Charlie and his work more than most folk. I'd be glad to drop titbits in from time to time.

I shall endeavour to overcome my shortcomings (namely, the footage of it, Charlie and me getting put on the web when I have a moment).

I was driving back from Melton the other evening and it came towards me. I recognised it immediately, but it still made me laugh as it flew past me. The Alfa bucked and wobbled, birds dropped dead from the sky and that note..

I was at Charlie's place last week (the spakker Alfa needs a door hinge re welding) and we talked about the problems faced by funding the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in these days of overstretch. Charlie has offered to put Invasion Stripes on the Rover before it hits the 'ring soon to raise cash ansd to get the message across that the BBMF is simply, awesome. I suggested that maybe.. just maybe, their illustrious 'Airships' at the Air Ministry might lose one or two monacles at that quite incorrect thought..

Dunno about you, but I'd sponsor a stripe. wink
