Well I think it looks fantastic as does the interior so I guess looks must be subjective!

As for the engine, it's hardly fair to compare a SS to a RV8, try comparing a SS to a Chevy engine instead. Proper off the shelf engine is the way forward.

Being in a 1700kg 5 seater, 3 up, with a 400bhp LS1 and pulling away from a Tuscan

What car was that?

That would be a HSV.
An astonishing car.

Whilst not wishing to breach a confidence, the one that Marcos tested on our Dyno very recently put out BHP & Torque figures that TVR can only dream of. It should also be pretty reliable engine wise as its the old warhorse LS6 motor.

I'm thinking a V8 is precisely what the TVR buying crowd want. It's got plenty of power/torque and has a big reliability pedigree. And who doesn't got off on a V8 rumble?

Sorry Dave but that's a typical comment from a non-TVR Speed Six owner.
The vast majority of Speed Six owners realise what a step forward these engines are for TVR from the RV8. Add to that a Sports Exhaust and thoughts of a V8 disappear...
Yes, obviously that's the opinion of a non speed six owner ... sadly most of TVR's former and potential customer base are non-TVR speed six owners, because they haven't been able to sell enough of them to keep their business viable. If TVR are to survive they have got to broaden their appeal.

Went to Salon Privé today and took a few snaps of the Marcos pair. The quality of the bodies is stunning and they're straight out of the 'moulds' and into paint shop.

Here are a few snaps of the cars and some details....

Fabulous exhausts

New production badge

The blue 'Spitfire vent' shot on the Marcos page ain't no fluke... it's also perfect on the red GTC

The targa roof panel fit is amazing considering this is the first RT. Tony Stelliga reckons he'll improve on this for the production run.

Caught Mr S taking some shots for the family album:

Such things are in the realms of heresy! Go and find a golf course for that! Cricket squares are sacred!

Not exactly, gold courses have the added dangers of ponds, sand traps, trees and pensioners.

I do not like it. It looks just to mush like a TVR if you ask me.
