Now, it would appear, the German trial might be after some of the money in the Bambino trust.

"in ahighly unusual divorce settlement, rather than Mr Ecclestone paying Slavica Ecclestone a good chunk of his fortune, she appears to be paying him at the rate of $100m (£60m) a year"

what a hero!

Well it answers a question I asked some time ago as to where Bernie gets his money from these days. Mind you doesn't it beg the question as to whether the Bambino Trust is independent of him? After all if t was why would he need money from it post divorce?

That is the $million question. Or do I mean $300m?

I think this might well be one of the questions at the trial as well.

He doesn't. He gets money for his ex wife just as might be the case in any divorce between parties who have unequal assets. Her assets include payments she receives from the trust as if was set up for her benefit. I don't really see the issue here.

Just like any other divorce where £multi assets were given to a wife with all control removed from him and where the wife puts the money in trust. And then, after the divorce, the wife has to pay the hubby as he has no income and she has all the income from the trust which the hubby has not control over at all. We see this every week on East Enders.

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that Ecclestone has acted in any way illegally over this and it is merely tax avoidance and certainly not evasion. His wife owns all the income from the rights.

let's make that as clear as I possibly can.
