Pah! Preferential treatment for the Germans again. You don't see Paddy Lowe getting those, do you?
He's Austrian, hence the terminator jibes he's been getting...
Of course, silly me biggrin

Obviously I was referring to ethnicity, not nationality wink

In other news, when I was 15 years old, I used to spend a few minutes almost every school lunch hour, staring in the window of Stoddart's Motorcycles in Oban. As you know, that's Mrs Wolff's Dad's place. She would have been about 3 years old at the time, so no doubt I've seen her toddling about between the CB750s and Evinrude outboards.

OP,
You really need to take interest in more than F1 racing. You'll be asking who Wolfgang Urlich is next.
Herr Ulrich? He's the gaffer on the Dusseldorf job. Doesn't like Oz much, but Dennis is keeping him sweet.

Sounds like a few of the top brass at Mercedes were involved, Paddy Lowe and Jock Clear got pretty banged up according to some reports I read, interestingly these same reports can't seem to agree if Nico and Lewis were there.....

Team bonding. That's nice of Uncle Niki to baby sit the boys and take them out for a happy meal. smile

Interesting stuff.

At the last team principals meeting Toto Wolff had advanced information about a topic that came up which surprised a number of team principals. According to a person in the meeting, Toto Wolff immediately realised that he 'overspoke' and his 'uncomfortable' body language immediately aroused suspicion.

Back in 2022, after the financial report documents had been submitted for over 2 months already, Toto's right hand woman Sheila Ann Rao attained a significant position in the FIA as Secretary General - which included overseeing the cost cap rulings. 2 weeks later; a new regulations was introduced regarding the cost cap for the previous year (!!) that unused parts would suddenly count towards final cost. The same weekend, Mercedes appeared at the track with their new wing stays that was only announced to be allowed moments before; as other team bosses said, there is no way in hell someone could implement these in that time frame without prior knowledge that it would be allowed.

Then for Singapore the rumour of the cost cap breach was leaked by no other than Toto. He knew before Red Bull was aware of it. Doesn't take a genius who could have possibly leaked this to him apart from his former special council and advisor turned FIA Secretary General.

Mercedes is open about the fact that they were so far ahead of the 2014 engine regulations that the FIA came to them for advise on what else to do with the engine. The regulations didn't just suit them, they were tailor made for them to the Nth degree.

Of course Mercedes then needed to do a secret test with Pirelli to get another helping hand on what the tyres would be like.

I thought it was Binotto that started the whispers about Red Bull’s budget cap breach based on the fact that everyone in the paddock found it strange that Red Bull were coming out with expensive upgrades.

It sounds like you just want to bash Mercedes and undermine their achievements..

Renault pushed for the V6TH concept but it appears they ended up with the worst performing PU. None of the PU manufacturers had a head start or a leg up. AMG Mercedes PT were working to the same timeline and specs as everyone else.

What is the source of this non-story and if it held any water, I’m sure the mainstream F1 media would be all over it.

Do they have to give their titles and the prize money back? Rid the drivers of their titles as well? Does that taint their drivers titles and clouds their achievements? Ban them for life?
Wolff is a hypoocrite, but can he ever be prosecuted?
This is major business crime stuff that shades everything that happened in that 'sport' before...
Would be interesting to hear Bernies opinion on that.

Not sure about the cheating allegations, I just hope he plays What's the Time Mr. Wolff at the Mercedes Christmas Party.

Bo’s mission in life is to disparage Toto, Mercedes and Lewis’s success and fully committed to the cause.

Source? Back-up? Evidence?

You've pedalled this line for years Sparta and never produced anything.

Let me guess - the info is out there and you expect me to go and find it to prove your assertion?

He is actually right on that point… I believe it was one their engine guys (maybe wrong) on Beyond The Grid podcast. They were surprised how far they were ahead with their engine. They did the best job. Like Williams did the best job back in the day with cars 1sec in hand out of the box, active suspension… RedBull with the double diffuser no other team managed to get to work as effectively and now. RedBull with the current regs which was basically an open goal for Newey having been there the first time round with ground effects, dust off his old notes and with today’s tech and tools… he was good to go.
During their double diffuser days… Horner, it’s up to other teams to build a better car.. correct.
During Mercedes days… Horner, threw Renault under the bus, moaned about Merc dominance. Whinging.
RedBull back on top… Horner, it’s the build a better car… correct but, he can’t help whinging either.
It is what it is.. new regs come in, a team gets the jump on the others and there’s a period of catch up.
I think with a ground effect championship RedBull were always going to boss it from the outset even if Merc hadn’t totally dropped the ball.

Mercedes did the best job and were miles ahead of everyone else, that's correct.

But they didn't influence the FIA as to spec any more than any other team, didn't have this huge head start and didn't have regs "tailor made" to them.
They just did a better job than Ferrari, Renault and, latterly, Honda.

Can you imagine Ferrari of all teams allowing another team to influence the rules ahead of them? As if!
