I'm off to Madrid in 10 days for the half marathon and looking for something to do on the Friday. Has anyone visited the Alonso exhibit to know if it's worth it?

He tweets a lot about it and seems top pitch up there from time to time. Looks to be well stuffed with his bits absolutely pieces.

Haven't been but from seeing the tweets, I'd definitely go if I was in the area.

Went a few weeks. TBH wasn't expecting a lot but it was absolutely fantastic. An example of every one of his karts and cars, helmets, overalls, trophys etc. in a really well designed exhibition- a labour of love and probably a first for a single driver. I'm not a huge Alonso fan but it was unmissable. Easy to get to on the metro. Whatever else you do in Madrid go to this!

Cheers. I'm going to try and work it in to the Friday (first full day there). Need to not do too much walking around pre-race though.

Get some roller skates then. Or hover boots? A jet pack? Not sure if there is an arm-operated pulley system installed for pre-marathon visitors who won't walk around what sounds like a really interesting event?
I hope the weather isn't too hot. Or too cold. Have you booked in to the leg-saving world famous Boutique Bungalow hotel?
Did you tell everyone you are 'doing' a marathon?

What about the doors in the exhibition? I hope the hinges are not too stiff? In case there are visitors who are in a darts tournament perhaps?
"HEY EVERYONE! LOOK AT ME! ABOUT TO DO A MARATHON. LOOK AT ME".

Not much need for that, was there?

If you are going to put that much effort in to a reply to be an arse, it's surprising to see that you didn't even bother to read the OPs original request (it's a half marathon).

I knew there were some odd folk in the F1 sub-forum but wasn't quite expecting that!
