Bloody hell McLaren. I'm only able to watch the BBC text feed this morning. Was that operational error by McLaren or just slow cars?
Looks like they are just not fast enough. Still quite wet out there, Pole position looks to be between the Mercs and the RB's.

The middle sector was 7/10s faster than anyone else. Hell of a lap.

read what he actually says without the rose tinted glasses.....
I have.

And I've watched Nico's pass (where he missed the apex after a late dive up the inside) and Lewis's re pass (where he ran his car wide onto the line Nico wanted to be on) many times.

It really is a non topic and was very hard passing by both. Anyone who likes racing should be commending them both.

Rose tinted glasses - I like both Drivers and am quite sure Nico will beat Lewis regularly this season.

Good job Lewis! And Ricciardo in front of Vettel.

this year is showing two things for me:

lewis hamilton is as good as we thought he was in 2007/2008

vettel is not as good as we've constantly been told.

remember the 2009 mclaren and what hamilton did with it? that's what we should be seeing from vettel were he a true great. we're not.

That was a remarkable lap from LH. A remarkable lap by the RB #2 as well.

Equally remarkable from McL, but for other reasons.

LH didn't even bother to go for a final lap. That's a slap in the face for the rest, and that includes Rosberg.

If there were walls rather than white lines, or rules were strictly enforced about leaving track boundaries, what would have happened there?

IMO Hamilton would have lost the position or caused a collision.

Exactly, load of crap talked about Lewis over the last few years, nobody has better car control at the moment.

Ricciardo is looking every bit the better over vettel....

Rather early to be forming conclusions like that. And somewhat insulting to DR.

Well I would be surprised if ANYONE had that top three pegged in advance.

Lewis has decided to prove with a good car he is a rather good driver.

In case there was any doubt, Lewis is back.

Nico had a difficult session, he didn't seem to like the full wet at all and tried too hard on the inters - if he's putting pressure on himself he needs to stop it.

Ferrari? Kimi looked uncomfortable, still not gelling with the car. Alonso doing his usual "best it can do" but at ~2 seconds off the pace Marco whassisname must wonder what he's taken on. If Bell is going there at the end of the year this year is a write off I think.

RIC 3-1 VET. Either RIC is a megastar in waiting or Seb isn't as good as his stats would suggest.

Great job by Romain to get the Lotus in Q3, JEV also.

Nice job from Massa right at the end, steadily putting Bottas in place in the team.

Should be interesting in the midfield tomorrow, Mercs coming through and the FI's / STR's trying not to fall back.

I'm trying to get Sky go on my laptop but I keep getting a window to say that I need to pay extra for sky go extra.

Thanks Sky. Here's my wallet, please help yourself.
Should you not be able to access Skygo.com with your sports subscription? I was under the impression if you had HD, sports or movies then you got skygo FOC?

Superb stuff from Hamilton, new British record for pole positions too.
I get Sky Go for free. I won't benefit from paying the extra for Sky Go Extra.

Excellent stuff from Hamilton!!

Alonso is tearing Raikkonen's arse apart.
Raikkonen can't drive the car. That much has been clear since the first time he got in it. Hopefully he'll get his head around it very soon.

So you did. I've you'd put money on that you'd have done well!

Awesome comment from Lewis in the press conference too.
