Apparently Domenicali is out the door.

Official announcement later today, so could be bks, but it wouldn't surprise me if true.

Other papers are picking up the story.

Not surprised at all... Shame though, seemed a nice chap.

Same as Whitmarsh, unfortunately it doesn't seem to be a job for 'nice chaps'

I wonder if Luca has rudely interrupted Ross's fishing trip?

The papers are putting Marco Mattiacci forward as Domenicali's replacement.

ETA - although again, pure speculation and adding weight to that is the fact the Mattiacci hasn't had much to do with F1. Best link I could find is... http://www.linkedin.com/pub/marco-mattiacci/3/b44/....

Would seem an odd choice?

Happily fishing with apparently no desire to live anywhere away from family and friends. Apparently.

No surprise there, the Ferrari way, someone has the carry to can for not producing a winning car.

He's a very likeable character and I hope he does well wherever he ends up, but the writing was on the wall. All those resources and no appreciable results means only one thing. I'm surprised it wasn't last year.

something had to change at Maranello. . .not sure this is the right change, but it will shake the remaining staff up for sure.

I hope whoever it is who runs their power train department has also been held to account.

Developing your own engine bottom up together with the chassis, with practically unlimited budget - no excuse to see it the third most powerful out there....
