Forgot about that! ^

That was the funniest thing I've seen in F1 I think.

On the Lotus front, rather than Maldonado, if only they put this much effort into building a decent car! ;-)

Don't know. Mal didn't really look that good against the McLaren and managed to crash twice on his own.

He had brake issues:

It wasn’t such a good race for Pastor. He made a fantastic start, but suffered later in the race with braking and also racing contact from Jenson.

As did Riccardo but he did rather better.

It seems the cars didn't suffer to the same extent as each other.

We also have to understand why the brakes locked-up so easily coming into the pits
Alan Permane Trackside Operations Director said:
Pastor had a much more difficult race [than Romain] despite a strong start and clearly had potential to finish comfortably in the top ten too.

Because driver forgot to press the left pedal soon enough, then pressed it too hard wink

'twas pretty obvious he was carrying a ton more speed than anyone else long before the tyre smoke started..

Yesterday's crash wasn't Maldonado's fault (I did think that although it was his fault Button was penalised a touch harshly but that's not really relevant for this thread) but he still wasn't exactly covering himself in glory in general in the race - wondered at the time whether he might have been having brake issues but I've not seen anything from the team to suggest this was the case and you kind of have to put it down to the problem being between the seat and the steering wheel.

I wonder if he'll last the season at Lotus? He does seem to be making some rookie type errors.

So do the carbon fibre suppliers for the spare parts. Mechanics don't like the weekend late shifts though.

Button was in the wrong in the incident at the weekend i'll admit. However, that spin mid corner and hilarious pit lane incident were vintage Pasty.

I started the Eddie Irvine thread and in it they talk about the race suspension he got (1 race raised to 3 after a failed appeal) and seeing his crash compared to the stuff Pastor gets up to its frankly amazing he isn't sitting out most weekends!

They were much stricter in the past...or didn't like Irvine.

Depends on their behaviour at the stewards meeting. Maldonado might be very apologetic and offer sexual favours from his girlfriend.
