my despise for the BBC gets greater

not happy with just losing rights to Sky and instead spending it all on Footballist's

they have now decided to announce 'winner of China race as the intro to news at 10.00am

no bloody point watching it now thanks BBC pillocks

+1 if you don't want to hear the result keep the tv and radio switched off, and stay off the internet, its hardly rocket science.

Those BBC newscasters are terrible, aren't they, giving out news on the news programmes. They should give warnings, shouldn't they.

WARNING: the next programme contains news.

Mind you, it would be simpler, and clearer, to call it BBC News.

Managed to avoid the result once for 3 weeks. I was abroad but still avoided glancing at any newspapers that or had them vetted first!

Well, they warn the football fans.

The point you guys miss, is that it is still a stupid thing for the bbc to do.

They don't broadcast the result on the bulletin immediately before the broadcast, so why announce the result at any other time before the broadcast?

On another note, I watched the gp on sky this morning as I'm in a hotel. Dear god it's st! I can't pay money for that crap.

I can only continue with the beeb and put up with all their ridiculous efforts to tell me the result before they show me the race.

How is it st. Very much standard interviews with drivers and pundits pundering. Nice bit of theatre with the Ron Dennis and Christian Horner interviews. Croft and Brundle's commentary nicely balanced. Coupled with full coverage of all practise and qualifying. What more could you want.

OP should consider that lesson learnt. Luckily for myself I'm not working today and watched the race almost live. (wasn't up in time for the start).

Yesterday morning while the qualifying was going on live the sports presenter on BBC news said "If you don't want to know what's going on look away now" ..... thanks for the warning - I thought.
I caught a quick glimpse and quickly turned away (phew!) - and then the sports presenter went on to give a quick synopsis of what had happened up to that point banghead

They didn't force the news on you, it was your fault. If you don't want to hear/see the news then don't go looking for it. Simple.

I don't have Sky so needed to avoid the race result until this afternoon. I have a Sunday morning media diet of no TV, no radio, no Facebook, no Twitter, selected websites only (i.e. no news or motorsports websites) etc. My home page is always set to BBC News but when it opens I don't look at it, just navigate to something else.

It's really, really not hard.

This. I've been out at all day at a PH meet, then out to dinner and managed to avoid any sort of news/social media which would spoil the result.

The BBC have been doing this for years. Why if I have not watched the race I do not put on any news. Or go on social networking sties etc.... or read the F1 threads on PH
