you can go on a rooftop tour of Doumo for not many euros. at least, you could when i was there in 2010.
Yep, you can climb up for cheaper. Theres not much else to do in Milan tbh!

Having watched Harris's /Drive video on Monaco I have the burning desire to head to Spa again. Went last year for the first time, first time that I had driven abroad too and it was an awesome roadtrip in the XJR. None of my mates are up for it this year, currently toying with either going on my own or heading to Monza on my own. £88 general admission for Monza, just need to figure out the fuel costs!
We drove to Monza and back in the old man's V8V in 2012. Probably similar in terms of fuel economy. I can see if he recalls the fuel cost. It was fairly considerable. Oh and driving in Milan is a ruddy nightmare - avoid! The only upside being the admiring glances the car (and definitely not the occupiers) received from the ladies of Milan.

Monza has a special atmosphere you simply don't get anywhere else.
Makes no sense to drive if your trying to save money - I'm sure you can find a fairly cheap flight - check BA as well, sometimes cheaper than easyjet
+1 to that.
We're off to Monza again this year, if you add in the baggage charges (and we're flying with ladies and grandson in tow so there will be baggage!!!!) BA was cheaper than the budgets. Only snag was we couldn't get a BA flight back on the monday after the race so having to stay an extra day (some problem, an extra day in Italian sunshine).
OP, look at Monza and staying in Como, we did it last year and again this year, great place to stay and an easy train ride back to Monza. Chevron is right, Monza has a VERY special atmosphere.
