Complete and utter BS - get your fcensoreding facts straight first before writing such drivel.
In fact, just get some facts before engaging either your tiny brain or putting your fingers to use on your keyboard.
My tiny brain (thanks for that btw) is still waiting for the facts? They're not really forthcoming are they? Or is it because Joe Saward says something it's OK?

Or do you concede that Europe and the US are just as much a part of the problem as Russia?

I'll put my tiny brain away now and prepare for another intelligent, reasoned onslaught...

Ah, but Joe Saward is one of a very small group of opinion formers at the very centre of this multi-billion dollar global business. It says so on his own website, so it must be a fact. Or perhaps not...

The Petronas angle will be very interesting; it's a State-owned company as is Malaysia Airlines.
If I was Petronas. I would use the space to tell the Russian population how biased their media is. Something like that.

Better to turn up and make an arse of Putin than refuse to go.

Let's not forget (Ferrari sponsor?) Shell either, or Royal Dutch Shell, to give the full name...

Away from the politics, have you seen the track? It makes Valencia look charismatic. Floor to ceiling battleship grey industrial estate.
I shall be interested how well it does as an event.

I'm not at all sorry to see the back of Valencia, and wouldn't be at all disappointed to see Bahrain and Abu Dhabi go the same way. However, the latter 2 events are dependent on the overall economies of the countries hosting them, rather than the economic viability fo the event itself. As such, they can continue to afford to pay the hosting fees, rather than being dependent on gate receipts/getting other events paying race fees at other times of the year.

How many of the "new" circuits have dropped off the calendar?- Turkey, South Korea, India, Valencia?

Austin seems to be the only one which both drivers and (physically attending) fans seem to like.
