Toto said Lewis was loosing fuel presure and power when stuck behind Alonso, One time looked that it may have been terminal.
Not surprising really as the new car had not done one lap in anger when Lewis started the race!
Does anyone know how many sighter laps Lewis and Kevin were allowed to do or was it just a case of suck it and see?

I think there was only one siting lap allowed if starting from pit lane.

Did you have a source for the fuel pressure thing ?

It was nerve-wracking. With each car, there was a point when we didn’t think they could finish. For Nico, it was behind the first Safety Car when it looked like the brake system had failed. With Lewis, it happened when he started losing fuel pressure – and power – as he was running behind Fernando, with Nico closing in. At that point of the race, we were hoping he could make it to the finish – but we certainly expected the problem would be terminal.

Cool. It is not too surprising that their supreme performance comes at a risk of reliability, but the cars are still remarkably well built.

I thort this was the F1 forum. I no poor speling is frustrating, butt complaining about it doesn't add anything two the discussion.

FWIW, Hamilton has had some bad luck, especially in quali, but I'd put good money on that righting itself in the second part of the season and him claiming the championship before the delightful double points idea for Abu Dhabi.
