Thank goodness for that, summer break is too long smile

Not a great track for lewis to be honest, 3 DNFs (collisions, none his fault) 1x4th, 2x3rd, 1x1st
Its also the scene of the "yes you're ok but we'll change our mind after the fact" bullst.

Nico has had some good results here (given the machinery he's had).

I think the RB chassis and DF advantages may show here.

Lotus will have another miserable weekend.

Kimi will struggle with the car, Alonso will drag it round for a top 6 finish, another TV will be chucked out of a Modena window.

BTW If you haven't listened to it yet go download the latest motorsport magazine podcast, its an interview with Pat Symonds. Lots on the Williams resurgence and some interesting bits and pieces from the inside of the garages.

What's the forecast then?

Shame Kamui has been ditched.

Williams heavily tipped but I think ti will be business as usual at the top.

Agree with this, I can't see anything other than a Merc 1-2, if they're reliable.

Friday: Showers and overcast
Saturday: 75% chance of rain
Sunday: Dry, 18°C

Could be a gamble on setup then.

Caterham apparently have a new nose design for Spa, looking similar to the Williams nose (according to the f1technical forums).

Other than Mercedes, I'm hoping the podium places will be a toss up between the Williams cars and Ricciardo.

I think it'll be business as usual.

Monza will be interesting. The Merc and Red Bull seem to be the draggiest of the MB and Renault cars respectively. I'd expect Williams and Toro Rosso to be ahead of the 'factory' cars in Italy.

Regarding Spa, yes it is a power circuit, but I still think that the Red Bull will compensate through Pouhon and Eau Rouge.

I don't think you can say that as they'll all have completely different low downforce set ups for Monza. Efficiency will be what matters and the MB and RBR are supposed to be very efficient. Though again, we haven't seen their Monza packages yet.

Expect a podium of Mercedes-Benz engine cars unless it's wet or ALO can work his magic somehow.

I personally think they will run the normal tread pattern - i.e. slicks if it's dry and the usual inter or full-wet tread if necessary. Nothing special about the tread patterns at Spa.

That new Caterham nose, similar, but they've smoothed into one shape, instead of the wedge with the crash structure sticking out of it.

Old nose...

Apparently Eau Rouge could be "brave flat" according to simply work. Sounds fun!

That caterham nose is better, but it's still no looker.

For the podium, all mercs.

Maybe, just maybe, Ricci will manage something.

Everyone will praise Alonso for dragging a performance out of the car.

Vettel and Kimi will both have bad weekends.

Bottas will be hailed as a future champion.

The chap who's in Chilton's seat will crash out on the first lap.
