Just google italian grand prix sped trap and find the fia site with a pdf with speed trap stats. Did someone play with nicos car?
Did that thanks.

Those variances in the speed trap figures are near unbelievable but, being FIA, must be Kosher.

No wonder both Ricciardo and Bottas were able to pass so many cars with apparent ease.

Even some team mate differences are huge. Check Ricciardo-Vettel and Hamilton-Rosberg.

How can those differences be so wide? Puzzling stuff.

your assuming they were running the same basic aero - don't think they were

NR was always faster in sector 1 and slower in sector 2, ie, was running less aero

then consider at no point in the race did he get DRS on pit straight.

Whereabouts was the speed trap on the circuit?
Just before they hit the brakes for the Rettifilo chicane at the end of the start finish straight.

Did Nico not lap anyone then?

Speed is not only related to engine and aero but also the gear ratios that they each was running. They are only allowed one change of gear ratios this season, presumably done now, and each will have optimised the choice of ratios to suit the circuits remaining and their car characteristics to maximise their opportunity over all the races.

Not puzzeling at all. Just have a boardroom meeting and make sure the car is 20kph slower so your teammate gets the win. Same with red Bull, so DR can get some more points.

Makes you wonder if the changing of Parabolica had anything to do with it. There were a few different lines being tried over the race weekend.
