OK, I'm going to be brave after the car crash of the Spa thread (post race) and start this one.

Qualifying:
Rosberg
Hamilton
Bottas

Race:
Bottas
Ricciardo
Rosberg

It's a great track, some good races, amazing crowd and atmosphere - been there 3 times. Love the GA tickets and sitting with the locals in the heat... then walking the track at the end of the race... before a slightly sunburned walk to the station, train to hotel and a relaxing evening with the smell and echoes of the track still so prominent. With pizza and an Italian red of course...

my guess is:

RACE:
Rosberg
Hamilton
Bottas

Would think the Mercedes-powered cars would have an advantage given the very long straight...

I have no idea !!

We will need to see if Lewis can get it together in Quali. Suspect he will at least race harder.

I'm expecting some gamesmanship in qualifying with Lewis trying to disadvantage Nico, which will end in Lewis being disadvantaged.

Nico will have a DNF due to reliability.

1, Lewis
2' Bottas
3, Vettel/Dani

Monza is on my bucket list, it's just that things don't always work out. Nice part of the world too.
It's also one of the cheapest GPs to attend and can be combined with some lovely driving in the Swiss and French alps... Land in Geneva, Nice or similar and make it a long weekend...

I have some friends who live near Lake Como - I've just discovered that Monza is about 15 miles from them so I really should go!!

Barring any mishaps from the Mercedes boys (driver induced or car failure) I think Hamilton will win. I'm itching to see a fair fight between them. Both cars making the end of quali and both cars racing cleanly to the flag.

That hasn't happened since Spain. There was the Monaco incident in quali, Hamilton not posting a Q3 time in Austria (though self induced), Nico's car dying at Silverstone, Lewis' brake failure in Germany, Lewis' engine fire in Hungary, and the chop in Belgium.

Only 4 race weekends this year have seen both cars make the end of Q3 and both cars race to the end, and one of them won all 4 of those races...

Make it a week, it hardly costs ant more. Treat your other half to a week in the Italian Lakes, she'll be quite happy pottering around Como or Bellagio while you bugger off to the track for four days. We're off out there on Tuesday morning. smile

Hopefully Nico and Lewis can have a right old battle. This track should lend itself to some good battle especially with the speed this cars are now capable of in a straight line. Should be some good needle between the two which hopefully will make for some great racing.

I'd prefer that the happy guy Danny Ric wins it, rather than the handbag waving merc drivers.......here's hoping!

Should be a good circuit for the Williams boys with their car's low drag. Can certainly see them being best of the rest.

Not one of my favourite layouts for a track but always a classic venue. Would love some rain for this one though.

Flying out to Milan Friday morning.

Ridiculously excited.

It has worked out pretty cheap as well.

Nice pic, what car is that?
It's the DB MkIII I had a couple of hours track session with some other DBs, think they must all be behind me in that shot smile
