Speculation over on F1 technical that the team principal of McLaren-Honda will stand behind a podium at the MTC on 1st Dec to announce the 2015 driver line up. And that the team principal will no longer be Ron Dennis, but Ross Brawn.
It's a nice idea, Ron back to automotive and chairman, and Ross back to winning. I suspect it would keep the Bahrainians and Honda happy.
Would also side-step the possibility of Ron and Alonso going head-to-head.
Would Ross want to? He's probably quite content with fishing. And with all the internal politics at McLaren (Dennis and Ojjeh can barely get on with each other as it is, imagine adding Honda and possibly even Alonso to that mix) who can really be bothered with all that drama? It's a nice idea, Ron back to automotive and chairman, and Ross back to winning. I wonder.....is this all now hinging soley on the outcome of the championship?
Will whoever loses the championship leave mercedes for mclaren, with alonso then to mercedes? Has rosberg finally thrown all of his toys out of the pram and decided to leave? Does lewis have a break clause if he doesn't win the championship with an option at mclaren?
The Ross Brawn option being mentioned is very interesting too.

You think there's three people involved. Stretch your imagination to four.
Alonso, Jenson, KMag and Lewis. Which two will drive for McLaren in 2015?
... Or Vandoorne.

I really don't think Lewis wants to come back.
He wasn't happy in his last few years at McLaren, he hated the clean-cut look and all of the sponsor duties.
Despite all the drama with Rosberg, I think he enjoys working with Toto, Niki and Paddy, he likes being able to dress down for race meetings, he's grown his hair out... he just looks all around more comfortable with his lot in life. Why would he want to go back to McLaren?

Fred slots into the 2nd Merc as No 2 driver, but expecting to beat the world champion of 2014
Now then, This would be fun Fred slots into the 2nd Merc as No 2 driver, but expecting to beat the world champion of 2014
the question is, does Lewis have a contract break clause that's valid? (seem to remember something about Brawn leaving?)
