Do you think either Red Bull's Riccardo or Vettel will win the f1 world championship this year or will the Mercedes drivers (Hamilton or Rosberg) win it instead?

Give your thoughts here...

Before the first race I would have said no!

Thanks for the clarity on the Mercedes drivers!

In answer to your question; no.

Did you get the idea for this thread in February, but only get round to typing it today?

No, a Merc will win.

I can't see any RB getting any closer than now points wise, as engine penalties for both RB drivers are a big risk.

I'm interested to see the reasoning to why this was worth debate :-)

The only chance they have is if LH and NR start driving into each other on a regular basis for the next 5 rounds with DR picking up the wins.

I think we can safely rule out a successful title defence for Seb this year, short of the other three spontaneously combusting in the nest few days and being replaced by Chilton clones...

It's mathematically possible currently I believe.

I doubt it very much unless both Mercs suffer serious reliability problems. Or crash into each other for the next five races. Neither is likely.

I heard william hill are offering good odd's on Ruben's winning the WDC this year, in a Caterham.

Only reason starting debate is that it was mentioned on BBC sport - Red Bull's christian Horner still insists that riccardo & vettel are still in a the fight for the wdc...

yeah right guy is mad to think his drivers can win the wdc. fat chance - i would halt develiopment on the 2014 car and work on 2015 car instead. thats what Mercedes did last season if you rembember that far back.

If Redbull seriously thought they still had a shot at the driver's title, I'd imagine they would have told Vetel to let Ricardo through at the last race.
