This could have been quite a good thread; however it's turned into another "MS: The villain...the cheat...the fake". Pity really.
+1 to Kiseca's comments (hope you're well btw chap smile ).

You are talking about Hungary 2010, right? Schumacher penalised 10 grid places for the following race. Every other driver condemning it. Perhaps your TV got a different feed?
Just putting it out there as such a great photo.

An odd one from me but it was Spa 98 that sticks in the memory. Charging through the field he slams into the back of DC but then hardly seems to back off and just continues on racing as if nothing happened.

It's the fact that he hardly flinched or slowed that got me.
Look at him watching exactly what he's doing. Utterly inexcusable.
Wouldn't it in fact be inexcusable if he wasn't watching exactly what he was doing in that situation? I'd be more comfortable seeing Schumacher in that situation than say, ooooh, I don't know, Maldonado.

So is "by intent" more of an excuse than "by accident"?

Although Im not the biggest Schumi fan, Id rather watch that than the sometimes 'after you sir' racing we have been getting recently. At the end of the day he gave him enough room! The grid penalty for that was a bit pathetic if you ask me.

Atleast you knew he would be giving it 100% every race no matter what position he was in. Whether you like the driver or not that sort of driving is good to watch.

There you go, OP. It turns out there are those who think even this WAS one of Schumacher's finest moments, after all.

Hey Fuel, doing well thanks chap. Starting to miss the old GT5 races. GT6 somehow was much more frustrating, couldn't get my head around the settings

Absolutely. People have often repeated that the grid were unanimous in their condemnation of that move but I have to admit I don't recall it at the time. Likewise I've not been able to find any record of it since.

It was more it was a tough, tough move but you expect that from Michael and if you want to get past you have to be prepared to want it more.

Ruben's was and it was an incredibly exciting overtake.

I also take the view that Schumacher used right up to the edge of the racing line and no more. He didn't jink or change direction wildly. He just drifted in a single move right to the edge of the track.

So whilst some see this as a negative I too see it as a demonstration of one of his defining characteristics to take things right to the limit but not beyond. Yes he did go beyond in a couple of high profile incidents but this, to me, isn't one of them.

Were you living off the grid from 2007-2012?
I have no idea what point you are trying to make there.

I'd just turn it around and say it was one of Rubens' finest moments, managing that move against Schumacher after having been no2 driver to him at Ferrari for years. Not a fan of Schumacher really but I thought it was excellent from both of them.
