Spray things containing silicon are a nightmare, as silicon creeps and is a not bad insulator. Ought to be firmly verboten in both the pits and the factory, and really, the biggest point of wonder is why such a product is even used.

If it was part of the punishment Nico would have to know, and if he did, don't you think a slow acting sabotage of the steering electrics would be something he'd be completely unhappy about? It's way too complicated and unpredictable. No way he'd stand for something like that.

So either it's rotten luck or it's an excuse made up by the team and the car was perfectly fine. I really don't think they'd do that though. Rather choose a punishment that doesn't knobble their championship any further, like a fine and a telling off. Or if it's that bad, a failure to renew a contract.

And the chicane thing, there are easier ways to let Lewis through. The chicane thing is too complicated. And besides that, when was the last time a driver tried to make it look like a mistake when they've had orders to let their team mate past? They either make it obvious or they ignore the order completely.

Yeah the guy that nixed the steering wheel also trashed Lewis's spark plug in Australia, caused the engine to blow up in Hungary, wrecked the brakes in Germany and damaged the brakes on both cars in Canada. He did it all on purpose so Lewis, wait, I mean Nico, hmm no maybe I mean Lewis could win the WDC.
He's quite the mechanic. I heard he moved to merc from red bull after the pre season testing was finished.
